Spiritual Counseling

"Spiritual counseling...what's that?!" So you may well ask! I offer Spiritual Counseling as a service when a client just needs to talk through questions and problems in their life when they sense that the questions they have go a little deeper than what could be answered in an advice column or even by a psychologist.

I am not a psychologist, nor do I claim to be one. I can't "diagnose" you and give you a label to latch onto as an excuse or justification for the problems in your life. I have a credential as a minister, but I got that online for about twenty bucks, and that was only so I could do hands-on healing without breaking any laws!

What I can do is to REALLY listen to you, and listen less to your words and ego-mind, and listen more to your heart and soul. It's my intent to be able to guide or suggest ways in which you can look at difficulties or confusion in your life so that it makes more sense to you. You might call it "reframing," with a frame made out of universal truths and laws. 

As the great Paramahansa Yogananda said, "hardship is the shortcut" to self-realization and enlightenment. I have found all sorts of tools, ideas, techniques and practices over the years which have helped many. There is no ONE way that all beings must take to peace and liberation, so I have made it my mission to help others find their own, individual ways. (That's my Unitarian-Universalist upbringing showing!)
